Default paying off in a large pot?

I'm having trouble finding the line between paying off correctly in a large pot and just throwing my chips away, what do you think about this hand I played last night on $1/2 pacific? Table is fairly loose passive, MP is very passive and LP is loose with a moderate amount of aggression.

Hero is UTg with Ac-10c. Hero Raises, MP-1, MP and LP call. Blinds fold. 8 SB's

Flop: 7c 8c 2d

Hero Bets, MP-1 folds, MP calls, LP raises, hero calls, MP calls. 14SB's

Turn: 10h. Hero checks, MP checks, LP bets, Hero Raises, Mp calls, LP calls. 13BB's

River: 7s. Hero checks, MP bets, LP raises, Hero..... ? 16BB's

So we're getting 8:1 to call, so we need to be 87% sure we are beaten with the possibility of a reraise behind. I dunno but I tend to think we are more like 99% beaten here, or am I assuming too much?

btw how did I play up to the river?

I probably don't raise PF (but then again, apparently 8 PFR is too small), but if you do, I play it the same on the flop, I like the turn CR, but I bet the river.

When I missed my flush draw, and the board paired, I thought I was behind, so I just wanted to check/call 1 bet and hope top pair stood up.

If you always check with top pair when the board pairs on the end, you're losing a LOT of value bets.

Your hands worth calling because of pot size and your read may be incorrect enough to call (even 10% wrong). I generally fire here on the river but if my reads saying A7, and its real solid (most of my reads are real solid) im check call, fold to 3 bet. I think your beat, its a tough line between fold and call based on your read %.

Hero calls, MP calls, LP turns over 8, 7 for full house and my hand is very far from good.
Anyways at least you guys think I did the right thing by calling.
I'll also not be afraid of betting next time when the board pairs.
I feel like I'm making big advances in my game with each hand I post, so thanks very much for all the help

Bet the river fold to a raise.
