AA vs heavy flop action
Live 4/8 game. Villain is a regular, generally seems reasonably solid.
Hero is UTG with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Villain is MP. Hero raises, 4 cold callers including the BB. Flop (10 SB): Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] BB checks, Hero bets, EP folds, Villain raises, Button calls, BB folds, Hero 3-bets, Villain 4-bets, Button caps (all in), Hero calls, Villain calls. Turn (12.5 BB): J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero bets, Villain calls. River (14.5 BB): 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero...? |

Re: AA vs heavy flop action
Hmm, my first thought is bet, but would this player cap a flush draw? Would he bet a Q on the end if you checked. Check/call may be better if he's as aggressive as he seems on the flop.

Re: AA vs heavy flop action
I check/call, but I suck. Hopefully the 9 on the river counterfeited his 2 pair. Maybe that's a good reason to bet the river also. A lot of help I am. good luck.

Re: AA vs heavy flop action
I don't really get the turn bet. It seems like after Villain 4-bets us, we're going to be behind and get raised a good amount of the time here. If he's playing a flush draw, he just faced everyone with two cold.
That's my typical point where I'll call down and hope I can suck out a 2-pair. Is this too weak? |

Re: AA vs heavy flop action
I didn't want to give a free card. I still thought a flush draw was a strong possibility for him (or a straight draw). I must admit in hindsight that this seems less likely. But i was afraid of the free card anyway.
How bad is this? |
