Default KQo - 6max

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
1 fold, MP calls, CO calls, Hero raises, 1 fold, BB calls, MP calls, CO calls.

I'd raise this in full ring, so I think preflop I'm ok.

Flop: (8.50 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, MP checks, CO checks, Hero bets, BB folds, MP folds, CO raises, Hero 3-bets, CO caps, Hero calls.

When he raises I'm thinking he's on A9 or some such. When he caps I think it's probably Kx.

Turn: (8.25 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
CO bets, Hero calls.

He bets into me. I suppose it could be a raggedy two-pair, so I decide to call down. Too weak?

River: (10.25 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
CO bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 12.25 BB

Perfect. Bad players get good hands at 6 max, too. I think his most likely hand when he check/raises the flop is Kx, not A9. When he caps, I'm thinking K9, K4, maybe 44, and an outside chance at 99. However, the pot is huge, and it might still be an overplayed Kx.

I would call down after being check-raised. My first reaction was to play it like you did, but then thinking about it some more, the position he's check-raising from, there's no way he's doing it to protect a hand. I would expect A9 to bet the flop, not try for a check-raise. He could have a Kx, but it would be significantly overplaying it to try that check-raise into a preflop raiser, IMO.

I think that it's more likely he's either bluffing or has us beat than that he's overplaying. I want to go to showdown cheaply here HU. If he's bluffing, I'd like him to keep firing at me.

So, my plan is to call the check-raise, then call the rest of the way, betting if checked to.
