Default this hand made me feel dirty - unimproved 66

Alright, villain in this hand is 55/22 and I don't have many hands on him. I was really unsure what to do on this entire hand. I decided to take a call-down approach figuring I was either ahead and he was drawing or I was crushed. When he overbet the pot on the flop I really thought i was ahead and he just wanted me to fold....if he has AA or KK here I figured he'd want to milk me a little. Then he did the same thing on the turn and I really wasn't sure. I figured I might be behind after this point, but I also figured he'd slow down on the river with nothing. Well the river comes and he puts in a huge bet overbetting the pot again. This looked a little too much like a desperation bluff to me and I thought till there was about 5 seconds left in my bank before I called. I didn't feel good about a single decision on any street. I'd be curious how others would play it...would you raise for information on any street? Do you call this river?

Looks like Aces to me. (or some other big PP)

Its highly unlikely that this is a bluff (but I could be wrong). He scorched it on every street and now he pushes. You only really beat AK here.

I put him squarely on big pair or quads, because you look like you are calling down anything.

This is horrible thinking in no-limit.

before everyone starts dogpiling here, this guy is 55/22....you can't give him credit for AA here I don't think.

You're right, I didn't think this through. Maybe if he was on the Button, but not SB of course.

I'd raise the flop. If he 3-bets or bets the turn, I'd probably fold, but I haven't played with this opponent and this hand seems pretty read-specific. You don't want a big pot here, unless he's a total donk... and you don't seem to be sure.

Raising the flop seems to solve all of the problems that you face here -- because now when the pot gets bigger, you know you're beat.

I'm not a fan of backing WA/WB situations with my entire stack without a read.

Of course not, but 77 88 99 TT JJ QQ KK are also possibilities.
