Default Getting aggressive: Value

I open utg+1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] villian in the SB calls. His numbers are around 55/25/1.1.

Flop is 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

villian checks, BB checks, I bet, villian calls, BB folds.

Turn is T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

villian checks, I bet, villian calls.

river is 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

villian bets, I raise.

Same villian limps UTG, I raise in the CO with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Only he calls.

flop is J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

villian checks, I bet, villian calls.

turn is a J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

villian bets, I raise.

A 63/10/1.2 villian open limps in the SB, I raise with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the BB and he calls.

flop is K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

He checks, I bet he calls.

turn is an 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

He bets, I raise.

I like them all. As long as you are able to fold to a 3-bet in hand 2, I think that one is great as well.

I play them all like this. In hand two when he inevitably calls your raise, do you take the free showdown?

I would.

I also agree with all the plays so far.

Can someone expand on why the raise in hand 2 is good?

Part of the reason I think it's good is because villian folded the river in hand 1, showing that he can bet and fold on the same street. But independent of that, I've noticed a lot of donkbet bluffing in thsi game lately. Gotta stop it somehow.

Villian folded in hand two as well. In hand 3 the different villian called the turn raise then called the river with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I don't like hand 2. Call down so you let him bluff the river again.

Is the raise in hand 1 really a good idea? Seems like he won't call unless he has Qs or Js, and he's 3 betting As, which seems like a more likely card. Do you fold to a 3 bet here?

You give the villain too much credit. Any spade worth betting out is going to call one more bet to make sure we're not being overaggro with some 2pair hand, or just trying to brush off a donk bet. That means nearly every spade is calling.
