Default What would you do in this situation?

Ok we are playing NL 1/2 and you decided to straddle (sp?) from UTG for 5 total. There are 7 players total and MP raises to 15 total MP+1 folds CO cold calls Button folds SB cold calls and BB folds. You are the straddler (sp?) (UTG) and look down at your cards and they are 72o there is 52$ in the pot and you only have 72$ left and its 10 more for you to call and you have seen two players call...CO who is very tight and SB call who is also fairly tight. What are you doing here? This happened last night a live game and was just curious to your thoughts. For the record I was not playing just watching at this point. Thanks.

Mike

I fold. You straddled gambling that one of two things would happen 1. You randomly get a good hand that nobody can put you on or 2. You just take down the blinds. Neither of those things occurred. Its time to get out of the way. When you're short you don't want to get pot-committed on a terrible hand. You could easily hit your hand as hard as one could resonably expect (Say a flopped 7 and turn a 2) and still lose.

I say let it go.
