Default Standard push or no?

Stars $30 tourney. 717 entrants. About 78 players left, only 63 get paid. I only care about the final table.

Blinds are 400/800 and I have 11,780 in chips after posting the small blind.

Folds to CO + 1 who has 14,757 chips and has me covered.
He raises to 2400 and it folds to me in small blind.

I have AK and I push. What do you think? Do I have enough chips to just call and play a flop?

push. In this situation you should be thinking along the lines of:

1) Do I have position?
2) Is my hand easy to play post flop?
3) Am i likely to lose the hand if I re-raise?

with AK..all of these conditions are NO... so go ahead and take the pot down.

IMO, this is one of those situations where there isn't a deviation from the standard. Push!
