Default One more from Foxwoods

I forgot about this hand from Foxwoods.

Foxwoods 4/8 table using stupid $2 chips. The table is loose/passive with the exception tof Klepton who is LAG and the Button who seemed TPP.

Preflop: I am SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
Klepton limps UTG, three more limpers to the Button, Button raises, I call, BB calls, everyone calls.

Flop: (14.00 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (7 players)
I check with the intention of check/raising, checked to the Button who checks behind.

Turn: (7.00 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (7 players)
I bet, BB folds, Klepton calls, one fold and two calls, Button raises, I....

If the whole table is really LPP I don't see how you can be ahead here.

Read on button would help but I think I like 3 betting right here. A better hand than yours makes very, very little sense.

Brett,

A read was given. These are LPP B&M donks. 95% of the time they are not raising the turn with only TP.

edit: I learened this time and again at Foxwoods (since I hadn't been playing B&M in a while) like raising a river donkbet with only an overpair and getting 3-bet by the rivered top and bottom. These guys do not get fancy. they bet and raise with big hands; check and call without them.

edit the 2nd: They will make rudimentary attempts at "slowplaying"

Can this guy really check an overpair in this big a field on this flop?

I don't think this guy has top pair or an overpair, though an overpair is an outside chance. See my edits above.

I've seen it done before, it looks like villian has KK or AA to me, I think they would've bet QQ. B&M donks are capable of some of the oddest plays out there

btw, I call the turn raise and fold the river UI

I think that one of his most likely hands is 3 or more sevens, yes.

What sort of LPP raises a big field pre-flop with a 7?

JJ seems more likely, and yes I know considering the board and Hero's holding it seems less likely, but said less likely holding seems more likely than a 7.
