Default NPR show about poker

"On Point", an NPR show out of Boston

Haven't listened to this yet myself...

I strongly suggest listening to the ThisAmericanLife episode entitled Meet The Pros. The first story's about that awesome Nike commercial (and not poker) but the second one's about pro poker players. It's fun.

Thanks for these links, very interesting.

For the first program, the woman from Yale was a great spokesperson for poker. Phil Laak was a stuttering, inarticulate moron, however.

On the second program, I am more convinced than ever that Paul Phillips is an annoying, pretentious, smug, self-satisfied metrosexual loser. He whines about as well as Phil Hellmuth.

Is it me or is "Is poker gambling" like the least interesting question ever?

Yeah, it about as interesting as "Is poker a sport?".

FWIW the answers to the above questions, in order, are clearly "Yes" and "No." I challenge anyone to claim otherwise without fundamentally misinterpreting the meaning of "gambling" and "sport."
