Default Tunica Trip

I'm headed to Tunica August 11 - 14. I've never been there before, so any comments and suggestions would be appreciated. I'm a NL player (mid stakes), so any suggestions on where to find the best games would also be appreciated. Thanks.

the best 1/2nl game in the country is at the Gold Strike Casino. they spread a 1/2 everyday during the week, and on the weekends it is usually 2/5. Their comps are also pretty good, 25 bucks a night for a room provided that you play 5 hours in the poker room. meals are free, all you have to do is ask.

I got a free meal from the Gold Strike last night. The NL has no buy-in cap. You will see $10k on the table on weekends. I think the Hollywood runs a no limit with a max buy-in they may be a safer game.

Search this forum for Tunica. There's a ton of good info already here.

all of the usual 'tunica' info crap changes that weekend.

the WSOP circuit is coming to the Grand beginning Aug 10 I believe.
So there will be good NL over at the Grand also I assume.
And the poker-room rate at the Gold Strike might not be as easy to get.

Checking out the Horseshoe room is a must. The 2-5 game the last week or so has been awesome. I expect durring the tourney the games will be as good as ever.
