Default Question about running hot...

Hey,

I have a question, prompted by looking again at the graphs in the ever-extending graph thread.

I have had nasty and irritating downswings like the typical ones we see in these graphs. I had a -300BB one once which was most annoying.

What I have not had, ever, is a corresponding hot run, e.g. 10BB/100 for 3000 hands. In fact I think the hottest I've ever run over 3000 hands is about 4BB/100.

Any theories as to why that should be? Obviously my own personal suckiness has something to do with it, but if you could say something a little more enlightening than that I'd be very interested to hear it.

I play kind of tight: 23% VP$IP with 16%PFR; I am sure this will have some bearing on things but not that much I don't suppose.

Guy.
