Default New to mtt\'s, got a quesion about HoH and HoH2

should I just get HoH2, or is it necessary to get them both?

HoH2 references Volume 1 without going into detailed explainations. The three volumes are meant to be an entire course, only getting two would be like taking Algebra 2 without Algebra 1.

At the end of Volume 2 he says he will be releasing a Volume 3 which will be all problems.
