Getting short in the BB, good call?
Party $50. Villain was a bit of a cowboy. He often showed down good cards, but raised many pots, and had blown a big chip lead before building it up again (off me, unfortunately, on the previous orbit with his huge T6o). So he could have a very wide range.
Please add your comments as well as answer the poll. Re: Getting short in the BB, good call?
eh...don't like it much. you'll clear the blinds with some FE intact (in comparison to the others). bide your time, looking to open-push on the other side of the blinds.

Re: Getting short in the BB, good call?
I absolutely hate this call. I would rather push trash from the SB or the button than make this call.

Re: Getting short in the BB, good call?
I beleive you should fold, and you arent getting short!!! It's probably closer than the previous posters imply but I suspect that against a normal player's range here you should lay this down.
Okay it's probably not close at all and is a clear fold. Dont you have SNG Power Tools man? |

Re: Getting short in the BB, good call?
Let me tell you how bad a call this is. I've done it before and used to think of it as good against a donkey, but the possible outcomes are:
you fold, and have t1225 you double up & have t2800+ Either way his hand ranges leave you at a race for all of your chips (when you still have good FE). Its likely you are, dominated, because its very possible he's got a higher Ace or a PP of 55+. Clearly a fold in this situation. =\ And as mentioned you can hopefully push into BB next hand. |

Re: Getting short in the BB, good call?
Im confused about what you just posted? The numbers are hard to read although they somehow seemed off to me. |

Re: Getting short in the BB, good call?
Eh, perhaps I've lost it mentally a little. I've had two pretty crappy weeks of even play. I'm not very happy about it.
