Default I think this one is standard but it\'s new territory for me.

I'm expanding preflop -- not really out of necessity but I'm just looking for spots that I think are profitable that I haven't been playing as much. This is one of them that may be highly standard.

Reads: a slightly loose, passive player is in the SB. A good, dangerous, LAGTAG mix is in the BB (30/21/3). UTG is an average, slightly loose player, MP is a VERY loose player (70/7) who will bet a fairly wide range when checked to but only raises good hands, and CO is a slightly loose player (44/11) who is too passive postflop but mostly calls. He sees the river and then folds a lot.

Ok, the hand.

UTG folds. MP limps. CO limps. I limp on the button with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB completes. BB checks.

Flop is 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Hmm. BB leads. MP calls. CO calls. I call. SB folds.

Turn is the 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. BB checks. MP leads. CO calls. I raise. BB folds. MP calls. CO calls.

River is the J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. It's checked to me and I value bet.

I like the river vb and waiting till the turn to raise.

I consider raising PF to isolate the limpers against whom you likely have the most equity. It is no fun letting a good, tricky player into the hand for free.

I will raise preflop here if I've got a good read on how the 2 limpers play, having position + initiative, plus being able to take a free card is great. I have no problem with limping though, it has is advantages as well. Personally, I like to make it more likely to be me against the two loosies by raising and making the blinds harder pressed to call.

The rest of the hand is perfect.

I think it's played perfectly. I'm assuming you raise here preflop if A8 is suited?

Waiting for the turn raise is a great way to play this hand, but I'm wondering if you still play it the same if the turn card is the Kc say?

Easy value bet on river.

Why? Too many scary cards that destroy our equity on the turn?

Where do you think the cutoff point for limping low o/s aces in this scenario is? I don't imagine it's right down to A4o or A3o and am just wondering what the best play is here. Also, as for suited aces, would you say raise A7s and up, and limp all below that? This is a situation I have problems with and can get into trouble with weak aces in these spots.
Thanks

A8 is my cutoff. I'll limp A7 suited and worse also.
