Check/raise, if he still has the balls to 3bet its an easy fold, whereas if you lead and he raises you still beat alot of hands, so you need to 3 bet or fold...

don't you think you get popped on the turn when you lead way too often there?

Option 1: Lead and fold to a raise
Verdict: Seems weak

Option 2: Bet/3bet fold to a cap
Verdict: Seems like a check/raise would do the same thing more effectively for 1 less bet

Option 3: Check/raise and fold to a 3 bet
Verdict: This is all well and good, but then what do you do on the turn and river?? Keep betting??? Eww...

Option 4: Lead, call a raise, and reevaluate
Verdict: How does this change anything?? He will bet again on the turn, with you getting about the same odds you had on the flop, and youll have the same decision again. If he checks he probably wont be calling a bet anyway and you just gave him a freecard to hit his diamonds or AQ

What do people think about check/calling the whole way here??? Obviously you are in a tough spot whether you lead or check/raise... and if alot of $$ goes in he has you beat.. so let him bet his TT and his AQ and his diamonds... it costs you 2.5 BB to see a showdown, and gives him the max chance to bluff...

I really dont understand you guys want to c/r the flop. Hero 3bet PF and got called, theres no reason to believe that villain is going to bet again when checked to.

Just lead out like you did. I dont like the fold he could very easily be spazzing a flush draw. I also dont like the 3bet, just call and reevaluate on the turn.

I don't like the c/r line because it opens you up to a value raise on the turn as opposed to our opponent 3-betting and giving us a reason to fold.

I'm going to say something totally wacky here. c/c the flop and b/f a non overcard on the turn.

My vote here actually goes for:

Bet-call the flop, bet-fold the turn.

I agree with ClownShoes that there is no reason to check this flop. In fact, being vulnerable to two overcards, I think checking this flop could be very bad, as if either an A or a Q drops we become much less likely to be ahead. He called our three-bet--this reduces the likelihood he has an overpair or AK.

Our opponent, though, may raise the flop with a lot of things, and so, in a heads-up pot, I really don't like folding sheerly on the information gained from one flop raise.

I also don't like calling down because I prefer not to pay off like a slot machine in I can possibly avoid it.

Basically, I want to put in no more than 1 BB on the final two streets when behind, don't want to let either street get checked through, and don't want to check-fold the turn after being raised on the flop.

Hence, I have one final option:

Bet-call flop. Bet-fold turn.

If at any point I'm not raised, I'm just betting all the way. If I get called on the turn after my donk-bet I'm check-calling on the river, hoping to induce a bluff from a draw or a thin attempted value bet from a hand like 10 10.
