Default 55 in the CO

5-10 8 handed. utg+1 limps ($2600) good player a bit on the aggresive side. I make it $60 to go with 55 ($1800), only limper calls.

Flop is:
9c 2c Kd

He checks I bet $100, he calls.

Turn is 7s.
He checks, I fire again $175, he thinks a bit and calls.

River is 5c.
He checks, your play?

Checking behind is pretty weak here..2/3pot to pot sounds decent.
If you were OOP..would good players consider checking it to catch a bluff or still value-bet? Seems like it might be a good idea.

What is an aggressive player limp-calling preflop and calling you down on the flop and turn? Wouldn't he be betting and raising with a flush draw?

Sounds more like he's been slowplaying a nut hand, but he would probably raise KK preflop at some point, which means he probably has 99 or 22. However since the flush draw just got there he's likely not going to raise the river with either of these hands so you can probably make a half pot value bet and fold to a raise.

Just outta curiousity, as a totally separate point, how often do you see people ch eck-raise the river. If we had AK here we aren't betting, I'm just interested to hear because I almost NEVER see them and rarely have the balls to pull one for fear of the opp. checking.

Things I considered before making my decsion.

1. Is this player capable of CR me on the river with nothing?
2. What can I put him on?

For #1 I think he's quite capable of CR me on the end I've seen him do it a couple times and get caught. Now for #2 I guess I can put him KQ or a weaker K, but yeah 99 and 22 are posible as well. Does he check a flush on the end I wasn't really sure, so I checked behind.

I bet $250, he C/R to $700, I called he showed AQc.
