World Poker Challenge - Also Weird

Speaking of weirdness on TV poker - How about(I think it was called) "The World Poker Challenge", the ultimatebet thing that was on FSN. How did these people get on this show? Did they win a tournament or where they just invited? They played incredibly tight, like they never played before but read some poker book a week before the tourney. Although there were a few good players, it seems to me that a random $30 SNG player on Party could have blown any of those tables to pieces.

They had qualified thru Ultimatebet, half of each field was thru their .net free site which explains how weak/tight a lot of them were.
