Default Just been done for £200 by Neteller.

Ok so I needed some ready money so I loaded £200 onto My Neteller debit card.

Ok so after Netteler take there rip off vig, I am left with about 190£ that I can withdraw. So I go to an ATM and ask to withdraw £190, it tells me it can only give sums divisable by £20 do I want to change the sum and proceed. I said no.

However, from documentation shown me by neteller the machine somehow went ahead and debited my card. So £190 just disapeared into thin air. Whooo hoooo.

To make it worse I then went to another ATM to try and access my funds, the ATM of course told me to eff off, but neteller still caharged me for the attempt. I tried several times and Neteller charged me each time.

They say they will conduct a funds trace but I am in now way confident they will return the funds involved.

Sounds like you were done by the owner of the ATM who debited your card without paying out the money. Was it at a bank?

Which bank? And what did they have to say about it?

Nationwide.

Only found out today on an excel sheet sent to me be Neteller. Dont think it is the bank fault as such, as it is not a card issued by them. More the fault of the ATM network. This is what neteller guy says.

But the burden of proving that the money didn't come out of the ATM is on you. If it comes down to it, the bank are likely to have had video footage, although I don't know if they'd still have it or if they'd give it to you, but it's the kind of thing you should probably find out asap.

I've had this problem with an ATM before (not with a neteller card admittedly)

but you need to make a formal complaint to the card issuer, they should then be able to get the owners of the ATM to balance the machine (basically count the cash, add up withdrawals and subtract from the amount loaded into the machine) when they do that they should find the machine has £190 to much in it and give you your money back.

Took nearly a month to get sorted, and that was with a UK issued debit card, but I did get my money back in the end.

Neteller guy assures me trace check can confirm 100% if I got the money or not.

I have my doubts obviously.
