Default Talkers

What's the best way to shut up talkers at the table who insist on discussing the hand (that they are not in) while it's being played?

Should I say something to them - or to the dealer?

If they are harmless fish, just let it slide and ignore them. If they are actually giving pointers to other fish or otherwise messing with your game I'd ask the dealer to put a stop to it in general terms (w/o pointing out anyone specificially), or ultimately, I'd ask for a table change.

Depends on the cardroom. some have ver strict rules on table talk others not so much. If the talk isnt benifical, ie giving away how they play ect... if its more like "oh man i had 2 diamonds" and theres 2 diamonds on board and this could hurt your chances of getting a fish to call with his flush draw... then say something to them. If they refuse to stop talk to the dealer, or cardroom management... but if hes a total fish no reason to scare him away, id just stay quite.

They're usually fishy if they talk during the hand - so don't want to leave. It's just the comments like "uh-oh, who has the 2 spades" when a flush hits the board. Obviously, some players in the hand might not even be thinking of a flush being possible.
