Should have finished this session earlier (plenty of errors?)
I've been having a good day, so I'm feeling a little cocky. It's getting to be closing time - I'm getting tired.
I think my reads were: UTG is a scavenger, loose, aggressive, but backs down quite readily. CO and BB are generic loosish passive donks. My table image is pretty tight, I'm usually ahead at showdown, or the river helped my opponent. PokerStars 3/6 Hold'em (6 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. What about a flop raise? The hand might play differently after that.

Please raise this flop. It saves you a gigantic mess more often then it wins you an extra SB.

Re: Should have finished this session earlier (plenty of errors?)
i raise the flop. since you didn't and an overcard came i think i just call the turn and river. if he's bluffing, let him bluff. and if he has 2pair or a set we're getting 3bet on the turn, and now what do we do? uhoh.

Re: Should have finished this session earlier (plenty of errors?)
Yeah, raising the flop would have saved me a world of hurt. Even I managed to spot that mistake (for some reason I decided that an overpair was worth slowplaying - after the hand I decided to call the session because, well, I was making stupid decisions like slowplaying a QQ overpair).
About the turn, my thinking was that I'm going to put two bets in with a check call, check call. So why not raise? Obviously (in hindsight) this is the perfect way to get more money in when I'm behind and win a smaller pot when I am ahead (since he probably wasn't calling this raise without an ace). Ugh. At least I raised preflop so I did something right. |
