Analyze This
Level 4 of Party 30+3 (25/50 blinds). My stack is 1700 and I raise 400 UTG with KK (hoping one of the two small stacks will call with some rags). Im immediately called by another big stack (2000ish), everyone else folds.
Flop comes A82 rainbow. I check the flop (good, bad?), he checks. Turn comes 6, I bet 300, he calls. River comes 8. I check (hoping to induce a bluff at this point because I do not put him on an ace or an eight) and of course he goes all in, covering me, and I call. He turns over 56s and I win the pot. What do you make of my play on each street? -Matt |

Re: Analyze This
way ahead/way behind, no need for one I think. Hand looks good.

Re: Analyze This
If he doesn't have the ace, Im way way ahead and he would probably check the flop as well, thinking that Im slowplaying AA or AK (since my bet was 400 preflop afterall). Therefore if he bets the flop following my check, I think I can fairly accurately put him on an ace or even a flopped set, but checking here would be the only way to gain that information IMO.

Re: Analyze This
If you check this flop I will bet at you with anything. You are inducing a bet just like you induced the bet on the river. I would bet to get a clearer picture of where I was at. If he raises then I know I am behind.
