SB/BB Conversion
Please excuse my inexperience, but I have a very simple question.
When deciding how to act postflop, do you decide whether pot odds justify a call based on big bets, or small bets? And if you count the big bets, do you cut the small bets in half and add them to the big bets? Again, I'm just beginning to play with pot/implied odds, equity, strategy-- it's a little hard to take it all in at first, so thanks for clearing it up. |

Re: SB/BB Conversion
I just use whatever unit is being used on that street. For preflop and the flop 1 betting unit is a SB. On the turn and river one betting unit is a BB.
So any time there is a decision to you just divide the pot by whatever the current unit is and you'll get your odds. For example in 2/4 the pot on the flop is 10 dollars and you are facing a bet of 2 dollars. 10+2=12 and you are getting 12-2 or 6-1 on a call. On the turn the pot is 16 dollars and you are facing a bet of 4 dollars. The pot is 16+4=20 and you are getting 5-1 on a call. |
