Top Two pair versus possible flush
As with most PS 0.25/.50 Villian is LAG. My main question is with the turn bet into you do you bet the river or just check down hoping to come out on top?
PokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (10 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Re: Top Two pair versus possible flush
I like betting. Seems to me that a flush would be more agressive on the turn, and you get enough worse hands to call you to make it profitable.

Raise preflop. Bet the goddamned river already.

Re: Top Two pair versus possible flush
Preflop: At this level, I don't think raising KQo from UTG+1 is bad, but limping is fine.
Flop: Perfect. Turn: Perfect. River: Uh.. bet..? The SB could easily have hit a Q that looks nice and shiny to him. Him waking up on the turn hardly implies that he has a flush. Why wouldn't he 3-bet you with a flush? Bet and plan to call a raise. |

Re: Top Two pair versus possible flush
do we really pay off a c/r on the river? Without a read that villain is tricky, I think I would call the raise on the river, and then say "I knew it, I should have folded"

Re: Top Two pair versus possible flush
Preflop: I'd raise with KQ from any position if unraised to me.
River: SB simply called at the Turn, and the river looks like a blank. I'd bet here, then just call a raise. Maybe SB's slowplaying, but there's no shame in calling it with Two Pair. |

Re: Top Two pair versus possible flush
I don't think I've ever seen someone make their hand on the turn, bet the turn, and then c/r the river. I'd bet just so I could see something new.

I did bet, villian turns over 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and wins with the flush, sigh . . .
