Default Quick check, coming over the top of an EP shortstack all-in with AQ.

58 left out of 700, 60 pay. Blinds 600/1200 Average stack 13000. I have 14k and am UTG+2. UTG+1 pushes in for 5.6k. I push after him. I just got moved to this table 6 hands ago and raised 2 of the first 3 hands I got and folded when someone came over the top of me.

Thanks.

What if you had AJo? A low pocket pair like 66?

66 - clear fold
AQ - marginal
AJ - even more marginal

The beauty of AQ is that there is a decent chance that you are against ace rage.

The problem with this play is that the rest of table is yet to act and you may get called by AA, KK, QQ or AK.

Even if the shortstack has a hand like KT or KJ, AQ is barely a favorite. If the shortstack has any pair, you are a dog.
