Default Good Call or Not?

Playing a rediculous crapshoot of a tourny at the MGM in vegas a few weeks back. 6 tables of 60 players entered plus 20 alternates for the frist 20 that bust out. Its down to the final 11 with Top 6 getting paid, the last one I played in the day before we got down to 7 handed and chopped the pot even 7 ways.

Anyway, the blinds are up to 1500/3000 and its 5 handed at my table and 6 handed at the other table. I have 6300 before posting the 3000 big blind. It folds to the small bind and I say to him If you move me in I will call. He nods, looks at his cards and says he's all in. He has me covered by double (risking half his stack) I have 69 suited in spades. I called, his AQ flops a queen on an all red board and I'm out.

Yes you had to call.

You had an agreement when he nodded. When he looked at his cards before complying you had a chance to void the agreement because he should have moved in without looking. Since you didn't raise any concerns you are obligated to move your chips in. I would have cancelled, because you will never know if he made the bet in good faith. Once you look at your cards you are accepting his behaviour.

Of course you have to call. You're getting almost 3-1 on your money in a headsup pot. You can't throw anything away here.

In the future don't let your stack get so low that posting the BB chops it in half.
FWIW you're calling with basically any two here.

I would have just called without looking at the cards.
