Re: AK turn bluff vs two rocks?
I play UB as well and get this situation a lot. I usually play it the same as you did here. The .25/.50 seems to get uber tight there. I've found the .50/1 to be much cushier. I think a turn check and fold to a raise on the river. If their true rocks then they had you on the 3 bet. What does a rock 3 bet. Then being usual UBers they go into calldown mode when the agression continues. AA-QQ, and you may chop with AKs

Re: AK turn bluff vs two rocks?
Looks good to me. I'm thinking SB has TT. Maybe another PP or AQ or such from MP. Someone would probably have bet at this if you hadn't taken the lead on the turn.

Button coldcalls, sb 3bets, call down from there....
Not my definition of rock play that can be bluffed. |

I think that this is standard.

Looks fine. Sometimes you'll lose to a pair, sometimes your A-high is good.

Re: AK turn bluff vs two rocks?
I often follow the same line with AKo, and I'm always unsure if it's a good idea. My instinct is that you want to continue aggression here, because the J is a scare card for the callers. With only one villain, especially if it's just the SB, the turn bet is good. I think your bluff loses some value with two potential callers.
Also, who do we want to fold? A5, A4, K5, K4 and any PP. Anyone with a Jack isn't going anywhere, and any hand with overcards to the Jacks is a big dog to your hand and will probably pay you off handsomely if you spike a pair. Thinking this through, I'd say checking the turn is in order. However - the check on the river is obviously right. |

Re: AK turn bluff vs two rocks?
If SB is a rock, what hands do you think he is 3 betting pf that you beat. You may chop with AK.
And button cold calling. I don't think I would bet the turn. River looks good. |
