Folding the nut straight
I don't know how to do the converter or anything, so here's the hand:
FullTiltPoker Game #154697908: Table Carey - $0.50/$1 - No Limit Hold'em - 14:09:08 ET - 2005/07/14 Seat 1: PigFlyer ($180) Seat 2: LuvToPlayPoker ($181.05) Seat 3: Zukeman66 ($95.40) Seat 4: bwemss6 ($102.85) Seat 5: Newmanro ($115.40) Seat 6: blue2298 ($107.80) Seat 7: CUAIrish ($104.80) Seat 8: JDjos ($107.50) Seat 9: B-Three ($20.50) blue2298 posts the small blind of $0.50 JDjos posts the big blind of $1 The button is in seat #5 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to Zukeman66 [Kd Jd] PigFlyer calls $1 LuvToPlayPoker folds Zukeman66 calls $1 bwemss6 folds Newmanro calls $1 blue2298 folds JDjos checks *** FLOP *** [Qs Td Ac] JDjos checks PigFlyer bets $3 Zukeman66 calls $3 Newmanro calls $3 JDjos folds *** TURN *** [Qs Td Ac] [6s] PigFlyer bets $12 Zukeman66 raises to $30 Newmanro calls $30 PigFlyer calls $18 *** RIVER *** [Qs Td Ac 6s] [Tc] PigFlyer checks Zukeman66 bets $20 Newmanro raises to $81.40, and is all in PigFlyer calls $81.40 Zukeman66 calls $41.40, and is all in *** SHOW DOWN *** Newmanro shows [Js Kh] (a straight, Ace high) PigFlyer shows [Qc Ts] (a full house, Tens full of Queens) PigFlyer wins the side pot ($40) with a full house, Tens full of Queens Zukeman66 mucks PigFlyer wins the main pot ($284.70) with a full house, Tens full of Queens *** SUMMARY *** Total pot $327.70 Main pot $287.70. Side pot $40. | Rake $3 Board: [Qs Td Ac 6s Tc] Seat 1: PigFlyer showed [Qc Ts] and won ($324.70) with a full house, Tens full of Queens I think my obvious mistake here was not checking the river. Had I checked, Newmanro would probably bet, PigFlyer would raise all-in, then I could probably get away from this hand and save myself $60. I'm just curious to see if you guys agree with my analysis here. |

Re: Folding the nut straight
i'd raise the flop, but there's no flush draw so slwoplaying is...okay.
raise the turn more. your raise to $30 is barely more than a minraise. make it about $45 and push the rest in on the river. |

Re: Folding the nut straight
In my opinion, your obvious mistake was not raising more on the turn.
