Default Why H-Dog?

The thread in which that nickname was christened is apparently locked or dead or otherwise removed.

Can someone explain it so I can join the fun?

This term was also used in baseball for a manager who takes an extremely long time to walk out to the mound so the relief pitcher has a few more seconds to warm up.
