Re: tourney win, too much tip?
I'd say anywhere between 3-5% of your payout isn't asking too much at all. $5 for a $541 payout is just a cheap-ass move.

Re: tourney win, too much tip?
Holy cow, they are telling you that on a $540 win you should give FIVE BUCKS? That's way too LOW! Have a heart already and give as follows...
10% for extremely small tournaments / wins 5% for bigger ones 3% for very large wins Anyone who doesn't follow this will be immediately kicked in the nuts by me. (unless they tip MORE) al |

Re: tourney win, too much tip?
i won a tournament that paid about $975.. - the buy-in was $100 or so - stupid me gave $75 for the dealers - never again! from now on it's a red chip max - whether it's a $500 win or a $5000 win, all ima tip is $5 bucks, if they don't like it - i'll take it back and buy a big mac extra value meal! [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
i'm the one risking my money, i'm the one using my time.. tipping is just a crock when it comes to gambling (btw i usually overtip waiters, waitresses and cocktail waitresses... but dealers? gimme a break, i don't decide how the system works - how their wages are fueled by patrons of the casinos.. why should I pay? ) here's my dealer tipping schedule - - tourneys: $5 if i finish 1st place only.. all others $0 ring games: $1 every 3 hands won, regardless of pot size (i will tip $1 on the third hand won on their down, and $1 max tip per down per dealer) {{{this $1 usually serves as a 'stop cursing me' - i'm not cheap i just don't feel you did much to deserve this - i think you should tip me $1 for sitting in the 10 seat next to your fat smelly as$]]] no tips to the floor or brushes/chip runners anyone with me here? Re: tourney win, too much tip?
This kind of post makes me want to not welcome you next time we have a 2+2 jambouree. The 2+2ers that participated last time at the MGM were terrific and very generous with their tips (of which I got NONE of it, I was a player not a dealer). Excessive tipping isn't necessary, but you are a scumbag with your pathetic "tip schedule." Please do keep your cheap ass online where the rest of the scum stiffs belong.

(i will tip $1 on the third hand won on their down, and $1 max tip per down per dealer) [/ QUOTE ] Wow, so at 30 hands/hr and 15/dealer on average, you are saying you must win 20% of the hands before you tip. You sir, are cheap. No one should win 20% of the hands. On average, 10% would be the normal amount of wins in a 10 handed game of players with equal skill. |
