Me and PT - part I (autorates)
Hello !
Ive just completed my first 10k hands with PT. I am going to discuss some stats of mine in another post, now I want to share some opinions about autorate rules (from www.betthepot.com) which are very popular here. a)Maniac recognition works very good in my opinion, all the players marked as maniacs are very good steady donators b)"aggressive" is put too conservatively in my opinion. 1.2 aggresion factor is rock in my opinion, I think it should be at 1.8 or 2.0 (I have about 3.0 ) c)"loose" is put very high, I think VPIP above 35% is loose already also there is no distinction between 18-VPIP super rocks and 19-23 normal tight players d)"passive" regarding preflop raises is put very high in my opinion 7% or more PFR is very aggressive in my opinion, there are many players with PFR below 2% and they should be disctincted from average aggressive 5%+ players Any thoughts ? Best wishes |

Best wishes [/ QUOTE ] I found this set of rules wasn't really that accurate. I'm using some I found in the software forum here(can't recall who the author is). The set I'm using now doesn't use pfr in it's rating of players but rather the aggression shown on each street,WSD,W$SD, and of course VP$IP. It defines aggressive players as someone with 1.8 or greater on each street, which I think is more accurate. I wish I could remember who made them, if you'd like you can PM me and I'll send them to you. P.S. the link you've provided for bet-the-pot for some reason is going to a penile-enhancement ad. |

Re: Me and PT - part I (autorates)
Probably mine if it's NL - I'm the same guy as did the original BTP NL ones - the latest rules which did ditch the PFR stat
are here: http://www.andymcnish.btinternet.co.uk/newauto.htm I'm currently noticing just how strongly 'cold calls pre-flop%' correlates to losing so I may have to tweak them again soon |

Aggression Factor - River is greater than 0.10 Aggression Factor - Turn is greater than 0.10 [/ QUOTE ] Isn't that a little too low for an aggressive player? |

Re: Me and PT - part I (autorates)
Yes these are the ones I'm currently using. I agree a high 'cold calls pre-flop%' would be very indicative of a losing player. What we really need is some more categories though.
P.S. great job on the new rules, they seem much improved. |
