Default Borg poker rate - retroactive?

Say you book a poker rate room for Sunday but only arrive in the evening, hit the sack, and can't put in your 8 hours of play until Monday. Is there any way to still get the rate knocked down if you're checking out Monday morning?

On a related note, has anyone had the poker room staff help in booking the room or do they just blow you off and have you talk to reservations?

FWIW I'll be in AC 7/10-7/12 if anyone cares; I found out my pad will be sans air conditioning the next few days and it's supposed to be 95 degrees here in NY.

TIA

nope, they decide what rate to charge you when you check out. if you have not played close to your 8 hours yet, they won't give you the discount rate.

I was under the impression that you had to average at least 8 hours of play for each night that you would be playing. Is that not true?

If you checked in Friday at 8p it would be pretty hard to get your 8 hours in. So if you played a couple hours that night and then all day Saturday and Sunday you would still easily have an average of 8 hours a day.
