WSOP Main Event Question
I'm kinda new to poker, so if this question has been asked a bunch of times, please forgive me.
======================================= When you enter the main event are you required to sign an agreement of any kind? And if so, is it similar to the tournament agreements you see for on-line tournaments that gain you entry into the main event? The reason I ask is because several weeks ago I skimmed over an on-line agreement for a tournament (which you had to accept if you wanted to play) that would provide you entry into the wsop's main event if you won. The agreement read like the Poker Site would basically own your ass throughout and after the main event, and you'd have to do whatever they wanted (within reason) in regards to promotion of their site: Wear clothing with their logos, submit to interviews, and whatever else... I'll probably never play in the main event, but if I were to enter one with <font color="green"> my own money </font> , I'd rather not be required to do interviews if I didn't want to (which I probably wouldn't want to). Especially those up-close player profile types you see on t.v. when it gets down to the final six players. Thanks |
