Button is 53/1/.6 over 350 hands. Typical 2/4 Calling station.
MP1 is 47/6/1.8 over 180 hands. This is the first pot we butt heads in. Except for TPTK once or twice, he has not shown down less than an overpair. Re: SippinQQ
I think this is okay.
At first I wanted to raise the turn to get the other guy out and fold if MP1 3-bets, but on further review I'm not that scared of the Button, and his calling pads the pot a bit. Once he checkraises both of you on the river I'm pretty sure you're boned. |

Re: SippinQQ
I'd raise the turn and call the river check raise.

Re: SippinQQ
I think it'd play out much eaiser if you raised the flop. You're probably ahead of the button but I still raise to hopefully knock out his overs and see what MP has. If he 3bets either call down or cap and call down (call a C/R)

Re: SippinQQ
Given your plan, I don't see how raising the flop made the hand any easier.

Re: SippinQQ
If this player 3bets the flop you can assume you're behind and call down from there (I can't toss an overpair on a flop like this, there's a small chance he has JJ or smething worse) Raising the turn is just a more expensive variation of the flop raise.

Re: SippinQQ
1. Part of your plan was to possibly cap.
2. If I think I'm ahead on the turn a high percentage of the time, shouldn't 'more expensive' say 'more profitable'? |

Re: SippinQQ
1. I generally would not cap unless this guy does strange things which I may consider capping then.
2. Yes but do you think you are ahead a high percentage of the time agaisnt a 6 PFR that capped preflop and led the flop? Find out when it's cheap, if he slows down then you are probably ahead, if not I start worrying about AA/KK |

Re: SippinQQ
His AF is high enough that I'd be suspicious of weird [censored] despite his low PFF, that's why I call the river c/r.

Re: SippinQQ
Evan, I'm 95% sure if I don't raise that button will call down the whole way.
