AQo OOP. Standard Flop Checkraise?
PokerStars 0.02/0.04 Hold'em (8 handed) converter
Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. MP1 posts a blind of $0.02. UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 (poster) checks, MP2 raises, 3 folds, Hero calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls. Flop: (10.50 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 players) Hero ? I've been trying to determine when I should C/R more. It's something I feel I don't do enough to manipulate the field. In any case, I thought this might be the right time to do it. I'm OOP aganist a LP raiser. I'm never pushing out the flush draw, but I might be able to prevent the wild two pair. So, should hero check, with the intent of raising, or just bet out here? -Alpha |

Re: AQo OOP. Standard Flop Checkraise?
This looks like a standard check raise. Betting out does not protect your hand, since your opponents will be given at least 10-1. The pot is big and a check raise will increase your chances to win it. There is a good chance that the preflop raiser will bet here, so you should go for the check raise.

Re: AQo OOP. Standard Flop Checkraise?
If utg1 donk bets it...
2 main scenarios come to my mind: 1) pre-flop raiser does not raise We probably have the best hand. Since our plan to protect our hand did not work we can check raise for value, which is the next best thing. 2) preflop raiser raises, we are likely behind but it's not garanteed. I would either call or reraise depending on my read on him. |
