Does online MTT success require as much attention as B&M?

How much attention do y'all give to online MTTs? Do you play multiple tournies at the same time, watch TV, post on 2+2, or listen to music?

In B&M I don't wear headphones, so I can focus on the table, but online I get so bored. I wind up doing other things and I think it hurts my game.

I notice a big difference in my success at online play if I'm paying close attention. If I'm playing a limit ring game online, then I can get away with playing mechanically, but for no-limit tournaments, I have to pay attention to succeed. I've gone so far as to move my computer into an area away from the T.V. and I try not to surf the internet. If I'm playing really well, I'm actually talking through every hand that's being played at the table. Even music can be a distraction. It is boring, but if I force myself to pay attention every hand, I usually play better.

i have had some success at the lower buyins by playing a relatively abc style until it gets close to the money, or i am running low on chips. once it gets to that stage of the tourney i tend to switch it up and play a little more lose aggressive, and find weaker players to manipulate.
