Re: Who is your Poker Hero?
given that you are posting on his website, how can you leave out Sklansky? he has clearly had the biggest impact on my poker life with his many publications and general respect for the game.

Re: Who is your Poker Hero?
1) The crew that started the WPT, which both started my interest in poker as a serious game and has provided me a huge amount of money by attracting horrible players to the game.
2) Sklansky and Malmuth, as I read Theory of Poker as my first poker book and was able to think clearly about the game from that point on. 3) My buddies who started a $0.10/$0.20 limit HE game with me, where I learned a lot with no financial risk. 4) The posters on this site, who helped me develop beyond a beginning player. 5) Robert Varkonyi and Chris Moneymaker, for attracting so many bad players to play HE. 6) All the bad players who have donated to me. The high limit players and tournament winners haven't done very much for me. |
