Default Is this appropriate aggression?

I put villain on two pair or a set at this point. I'm essentially putting my money in on a draw, but a draw that potentially can get a scoop.

Party Poker (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is CO (poster)with 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
5 folds, Hero raises, button calls, SB folds, BB calls.

Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, button folds, BB calls

Turn: 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Villain bets, hero raises, villain 3-bets, hero calls

River: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Villain bets, hero calls

Final Pot:

Results in white below:
Hero has 7h 7d 5s 6d (High: one pair, sevens), (Low: 8,6,5,3,A)
Villain has KK93 for top set and no low
Outcome:

Way overboard. I don't think the 'raise any' as CO poster idea works very well in this game. Your hand is very weak and will rarely win a showdown. But if you raise, you should lead the flop as you did. On the turn, you should call (because Villain is often protecting a high, and you have outs both ways when he's weak), and you may as well call the river when the low card hits, but only because you're facing the big blind.

On the turn, realize your hand is pretty worthless. You have an OESD with a flush draw and low draw out, and your low draw is too weak to play. You shouldn't consider this a draw that can potentially scoop, but a draw that is only marginally profitable against a big blind with a random hand.

What limits are you playing and why
are you raising with this hand anyways?
Middle Cards like this are almost always
big losers in my experience even against
only 1 other player, I think at best your
getting half the pot even when your draw
does hit. Why not be aggressive preflop
w/ a big pair with low draw or a decent hand?
Just my opinion.

Clayton,

I think this hand gets you in trouble way more than it will help you.

I wouldn't play it except in the blinds.

And if I got that far with the hand, I'm throwing it away. I'm not taking a chance a draw to a bad flush and bad low potential.

Just as I thought. The OP is a frequenter of the OOT forums. Clayton, read up on Omaha hi/lo first, you're playing terrible.

I like it, except you failed to cap the turn. Don't be such a pussy next time.

Easy fold preflop. Those middle cards are not hands you like to see. You lucked out in the end.

On what basis? There are a ton of possible hands which totally dominate yours that are plausible.

I don't like your raise on the turn at all.
