Default A few good ideas (needed for this hand)

This is against a TAG. I was thinking of checkraising the flop but I thought that could lead to a messy situation (and I was pretty sure Id get popped leading the flop). My thinking on the flop was I would lead into TAG on a good turn.

Ideas?

I would bet this flop, hoping button would make it two. Then be prepared to call down.

the only way to try to protect your hand is to lead the flop and hope the TAG faces MP1 with 2. if MP1 cold calls (read-dependent), you could be introuble as you're now looking at 2 outs and should probably check/fold the turn.

if your read is correct, the range of hands the TAG would 3-bet preflop is too great to continue with this hand by the turn.

I would check/raise the flop. If 3bet, unless he's ultra aggro preflop and would 3bet with AK, I'm releasing, barring odds to draw. I didn't have the determination to do it, hopefully you will.

This was a bad turn card for you.

If button is a TAG with decent PF 3-betting standards, then he most likely has you beaten with AK or a higher pocket pair.

I would check/fold this on the turn.

I did forget to mention MP1 is going nowwhere. Pretty much plays every hand, goes to at least the turn on every hand. Well for about the 40 hands I played at the table.

And I was going to check/fold this turn. It got checked through, which was intresting. River was a no brainer when the 3rd 9 hit.

If this is the case, I think leading out on the flop is the way to go. Even if you're raised, I think that you'll often be good more than 1/3 of the time here, so you should be fine as long as MP1 calls as usual.

hero...CHECKS.

backing up a little, on the...

FLOP: I think I'd bet out and see if CO raises indicating a possible higher PP or flush draw, or calls indicating a probable AK.
