Default Finally Something nice to say about Absolute support

Below is the response letter I got from AP about a total loss of connection I had this morning. My first letter is below. I made it appear that I may leave the site if they didnt do this, but I most likely would not. Plus I NEVER expected them to refund me.

Dear Mike,

Thank you for your email.

Please note that, as you well said in your email, we cannot be held
responsible for the disconnection you suffered that prevented you from
playing from playing that tournament. However, I'm going to make an
exception for you in this unique opportunity since you are one of our best
customers. I've refunded your account for the tournament. In the future,
if you get disconnected from a tournament or a table, to get connected,
all you have to do is restart the application and take your seat at the
tourney or single table.

Thanks for playing at Absolute Poker! If there is anything else we can
help you with, please let us know. We're here for you!

Sincerely,

Ron Cole

Subject: Tournament #31567[#726819]

Dear Support,

Early this morning, I attemptted to play in a tourny - 30$ entry NLHE
#31567. During the course of the first hand I lost my internet
connection, I have broadband, and was not able to play a single hand. I know its
the players responsibilty to make sure they have a good connection, but
I had no recourse. I am hoping you understand this, and would refund me
the 30$ for this event.

I enjoy your site very much, and would like to keep playing there.
Please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks

Mike (Iplayragstoo)

Lol, I bet PArty Support would say...

"Because you have not played in 15 tournaments prior to this tournament, we cannot give you any money. It is of our most importance to make sure all of our games are fair. To see a review of our card shuffling algorithm view (insert stupid propaganda link)

Best wishes,

What did you do to become one of their best customers? I have played over 1800 table hours there since April and I have been called a liar this week and three days ago had been promised a quick response that I am still waiting on.

Microbob gets a computer, I can't even get a response.

I love playing at Absolute, but it seems that they are like Party, etc. that different customers get different responses/solutions based on whoever happens to get their e-mail. I guess poker really is gambling.

It all depends on how you word your email to them. They need to know you are serious. For instance, I use this one or a variation of this one when I ask for assistance:

Dear AP,

Hi, how are you? I am not doing so good. I was playing your site today and (insert your bitch here).

This has upset me so that I feel like dousing myself with gasoline and lighting a match (insert smartalec5 avatar here)

I hope you can resolve this dilemma that has caused me so much grief before I do something to myself my wife and kids will regret.

Thankyou,

Burning Man

One of our best customers?

How many sexual favors did you have to dole out for that distinction?

Absolute may have their problems, but they are certainly trying to establish themselves as a force in online poker.

Mike,

Great story. I am actually impressed that you mature in your e-mail and didn't use threats or curse words, etc.

I have had nothing, but great luck with Absolute. I just hope it doesn't become a 2+2 hang out
