Internet Access at WSOP and Breakfast? (no content)
Hi,
Does the Rio provide Internet access, or do I need to bring a computer. Is anyone interested in a 2+2 breakfast before Event #16 Friday morning? |

They have internet access in the rooms, but there is a fee for it. $9.95 a day, I believe. I used the service one day when I was in town a couple weeks ago. They have a USB cord on a desk in your room. Put the cord in your port and the website for the internet service comes on when u start internet explorer. You will not be able to access any other sites until u sign up to their service.
Good Luck on your trip, Les |

My understanding is that they only have internet access in the "Masquerade Tower". Be sure to ask for a room there.

I just remembered as well, they have some sort of access thru the television, as well. Not sure how that works. I brought my lap-top, tho.

There's a business center on the wing where the WSOP is (between the starbucks and the WSOP area. They will sell you a card with a code for $9.95 per day. You can use your laptop with a wifi card anywhere in the convention wing. The reception starts at the San Palo (sp?) coffee shop, includes the Starbucks next door and extends all the way down the convention wing.

We're covering the main event for wickedchopspoker.com, and we were told the Rio does have WiFi access in the press room.

Re: Internet Access at WSOP and Breakfast? (no content)
The thing I found ironic about playing at the WSOP last week is that I had less information about the tournament overall, than if I were at home. During my event, I could never even see the single screen where they have tournament info (clock, next blind level, players remaining, etc.). I had no idea who won my event (Friday start, final Table on Sunday) until I arrived home on Monday.
