Default Old Sklansky Post

Quite a while ago, David Sklansky posted a question regarding life span. He asked at what age would someone have a 50% chance of dying within the next year (or something to that effect). Does anyone have the link for that post (I tried searching...but could not find)? Thank you.

I remeber that post.

You are going to have to search the archive server. I think it's about a year old.

See, this is the reason I decided against becoming an actuary. Good money, math all day, but morbid.

Standard tables cap at 40%, at age 106 for males and 115 for females. These are death rates for people who are healthy at the beginning of the year.
