Re: 3 Handed with 99 UTG
Checking and calling the turn is awful. You should check and fold against most players, and bet a minority of weak players who aren't afraid to peel without an ace or king. If that bet is called, consider it the last money you put in this pot.

If you plan on calling the turn....bet/fold. However, Check/Fold is probably just as good.

Re: 3 Handed with 99 UTG
In a typical online 2/4 game with no read I would check the turn and fold to a bet. If you're behind which, you probably are, its a terrible mistake to call since the pots not very big. What do you think he is betting with. Even many aggressive opponnents wouldn't bet with just a spade draw or a 7 heads up. In the live games I play there are enough weak opponnents to bet the turn. I'm not sure why you bet the river, I guess you were going to call anyway so you figured it would be better to bet it yourself.

Re: 3 Handed with 99 UTG
You checkcalled the turn putting him on a flush draw? And bet a blank river? Think about it, if you bet a brick river he'll fold a draw and call/raise with better hands. Either bet the turn or check/fold. Folding here is best.
