Would you play this hand differently?
I'm curious about my river bet? Good value bet or bad?

Re: Would you play this hand differently?
A little opponent-dependent, IMHO. Pocket pairs and eights will call you, but two very plausible draws missed, so you might want to give him a chance to bluff at it, if he is capable of doing so.

Re: Would you play this hand differently?
pretty read dependent hand. both betting and checking have merits. i don't like bet-calling too much. if they are capable of bluff raising you that often, just check to induce a bluff.

Re: Would you play this hand differently?
Depends on your opponent but in many cases yes. If it was A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I would be much more concerned since it completes two possible draws and you won't be called as often by worse hands. When you do get called, you are often beaten.

Re: Would you play this hand differently?
Are you implying that I should raise if I checked to him on river and he bet? You said induce a bluff.

Re: Would you play this hand differently?
No, you should check to him so he can bet as a bluff and you call. Raising is wrong, if he was on a bluff he will not call you, he will only call with hands that beat you and reraise with many of those.

A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] at least prevents AsXs from being out there.. which i think is villians most likely hand. [/ QUOTE ] Why do you put him on that? He's just been calling down the whole way, so it's hard to put him on anything. He could have overcards, 2 broadway spades, the straight draw, another pocket pair. |
