This one belongs in the slow play hall of fame:

Re: Flush draw, marginal odds
Fold on the flop unless you are expecting overcallers for some reason. You're getting 2-1 pot odds when you need better than 4-1. Implied odds make up for a little bit, but I still don't think you're getting 2-1. If you've seen that these guys don't give a damn about that third flush card hitting the board, your implied odds go up, but I still think it's a marginal call.
For the reraise, you're getting 36-6 or 6-1 and it's an easy call. Turn is 4-1 and again an easy call because your implied odds are going way up with this huge pot. River: bet more! If you're counting on implied odds to call loose, you better use the times when you hit to make some serious money. With all the betting on previous rounds, it's obvious that these guys like their hands. I'd say you should be betting anywhere between 40$ and your stack here, depending on what you think they would call. Edit: but i'm sure i'm not telling you anything you didn't already know |

Re: Flush draw, marginal odds
the others must put you on hitting the flush so I dont think you could bet much more then you did and still expect two callers, maybe 30$ would work. I guess sb has read super system, dont go broke in a unraised pot lol.
Seriously, I wonder what the heck he was thinking : ) |

Re: Flush draw, marginal odds
Every call is totally fine, especially if you bet at least $40 on that river. For the record I really like a flop raise against SB because you have an extremely strong hand on this flop. Once CO raises though, calling is probably the better way to play it.

Re: Flush draw, marginal odds
river bet is way too small. i'd make it $50.
EDIT: you have ~$63 left, right? push it in...although the way you played it, it's probably pretty obvious that you have the flush. well...shrug, i'd say you still need to be at least $30. $35 seems like a good number that would get a crying call and maybe someone with a smaller flush will push. |
