he's done this 3 times now. First was $16 to 60K. Second was 100 to 40K. This one was 40 to 20K. Last I heard he bounced a 500 dollar insta cash on Party.

I used to search him out on PS 2-4 limit tables b/c i thought he was an awful player

Cliff notes:

Guy starts with $40. Works it up to $20k and promptly pisses it away by playing way past his bankroll and skill levels. Everyone watches like they watch a train wreck and eggs him on except for the occasional GA suggestion.

Has anyone who has done the OIC or something similar (small stake to a large bankroll) decided to stay at the higher limits? If so, any successes or do most crash and burn as I suspect.

painful to read about how he lost it all... but pretty damn impressive to go from $40 to $20k...

I could be off on my 2+2 history, but I think GOT did this during the original OIC.

Basically he played his way up, realized there were still lots of donks at the higher limits, went on a nice rush, and stayed there.

I turned 1k to 40k in a week then promptly lost 30k of it.

Uhh, this is to the best of my recollection. I played HU 15/30 till I had 3k. Then I played some SH 15/30 up to 4k or 5k. Then SH 30/60 to 8k. SH 50/100 to ~12k. SH 80/160 and 50/100 up to about 20k. SH 150/300, 80/160 and HU 100/200 to 40k.

My path down: -15k at 150/300. -10k at 100/200 HU. -5k at 30/60.

Go back to the 50 and 80 games.

Clearly that's the sweet spot.
