question on folding in for a seat
I was in a qualifier for the 4000FPP for 2 WSOP seats and was 12 in chips out of 13 remaining, top 9 advance to 4000FPP.
I made a couple of moves and got to 6th in chips with 12 left blinds are 400/800 100 ante (maybe 50) when I caugth QJo and tried to take the blinds down with it with a 3BB raise. The BB called and the flop was 53A rainbow. The BB checked it to me, and I blundered here by checking I think. The TURN was the Q. BB bet 3200. and here is where I lost my mind I think. I thought if I win this pot I am in for sure, and I thought that this guy might have been just making a play on the pot by betting that amount. I end up pushing I have him covered by 2K. At 6th in chips should I have just gone into shell until I moved down in chips or got AA KK and the like? Obviously I lost that hand as he played A3suited. I thought it was a very questionable call on his part, and calling my all in was risky as well I thought. What is your take on sliding into the money/advancing? |

Re: question on folding in for a seat
I dont think your stack is big enough to go make a sandwich and come back in half an hour, but it is big enough to wait for a much better hand than QJ.
