Looking for game recommendations

I looking for a computer game to play. I want it to be D&D or Lord of The Ring type settings where my dude uses a sword and fights dragons etc. The only computer game I really enjoyed was Diablo. Also I do nmot want to have to play with other people and I would prefer to not interact with them at all.

I would like good options in determinig how my character would look.

Also the game needs a purpose, ie it is not enough for me to simply wander in the [censored] woods killing bears for the sake of killing bears.
