Default For those about to raise - I salute you (Party 30/60 hand)

I'm not sure what to make of this hand. I was pretty confused the whole time.

Party 30/60 game. Folded to a middle position player (seems extemely loose and typically aggressive for this game) who limps in, folded to the sb (seem somewhat loose and typically aggressive) who completes, I check my option with 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Flop: T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

sb checks, I bet, mp calls, sb check-raises, I call, now the mp player 3-bets, the sb calls, and I call ending the action.

My thoughts were that the sb most likely had a big draw, a nine with a better kicker, a smaller pocket pair, or possibly a ten. When the mp player 3-bet, I thought he might have slowplayed a big pair before the flop or had a ten and decided to stop slowplaying on the flop. Then again, these two guys could have almost anything. At this point I was more worried about the mp player since I could be drawing slim.

Turn: T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

sb checked, I checked, mp checked.

I think I should have bet.

River: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

sb checked, I bet...

Any thoughts?

A lot of bad players in this game check the turn when they hit some huge card like this ten giving them quads, or when they make a straight flush.

If it wasn't the flush card, too, I'd check to induce. Here I like betting if you can get away from the hand.

I don't know what the typical aggression is like for party 30/60, but in my game, the smooth call-3bet equals fold.

MP has a T here 80% of the time.

The other 20% he doesnt call a bet. I like a check here. At best you are chopping with SB.

I don't like the first flop call. Either 3-bet or fold.

I would usually fold when the flop got three bet.

What hands that you can beat do expect to call you?

You should definetly call, but I think you are laying the odds by betting.
