Default overcards and OESD... should I have bet into this small pot

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 2 folds, MP2 calls, 3 folds, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (4 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets, BB calls, UTG folds, MP2 folds.

Turn: (3 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB calls.

River: (5 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB calls.

Final Pot: 7 BB

my line of thinking is that i had a decent draw to as traight, two overcards which could possibly be good, and some fold equity cuz of the scary board...

what would ur play be>?

I think this is fine, you can take it down on the turn with a single bet occasionally.

Without a read, that's my default play too. With position checking behind on the turn becomes more attractive.

The flop bet is good. The turn is a check/call or bet/call don't fold to a turn raise if you do bet.

Without any reads on any of the other players, there is nothing to suggest that you may have succeeded with say a check-raise on the flop to build up the pot.

So I would have bet the flop to push my equity edge against 4 opponents with 14 outs to improve my hand.

I would have checked/called the turn, because I would have preferred not to have to call a turn raise back from the BB. At that stage the pot was not big, but your outs justified seeing the river.

BB calling all the way suggested that he didnt have trip T's and possibly had something like a 9,straight draw or gut-shot,pocket pair 88 or smaller, or unimproved overcards like KQ.

So I would have bet the river for value. Its possible that you might have been able to induce a bet from BB on the river by checking and then gained another bet by raising. But I think just betting out was better, otherwise you risked giving BB a free showdown.

In early position, I might check to see if someone bets, then c/r them depending on where the bet comes from. (fold to a 3-bet)
