Easy fold to the river raise.

Rest is standard.

I dont understand, why you say "fold" on the river...
10,5 BB is a big pot...
I would call here, too. But I'm not the best player

I think you can fold here.

This is not a bluff card. I am going to guess that UTG showed you trip nines that he was slowplaying, just like he learned to do from watching World Poker Tour on tv. It's either a nine or an Ace if you're beat, I know that much. I just can't see him calling you down with deuces and hitting.

Edit: Now that I see he is a rock, I really believe that he has a 9. He could even have the boat, Ace-9, and he slowplayed the entire thing on you.

Am I close?

I would check the river, if UTG is willing to stick around past paired 9s and an ace, he has something and you might as well just check behind.

I play it the same against an unknown.

With those stats... I dunno, the river's really the only issue and we have two basic questions:

1) Should we have checked behind?
2) Do we call the raise?

It's tricky. As for the first one, is the Villian going to call us with anything that beats us? The only thing I can think of is a lower pocket pair. And what was he calling the turn with, since there aren't any draws? A pocket pair, slow played trips? Did he hit an ace?

As for the second question, I really really want to fold to the raise but I don't know if we can. And right now we're really wishing we would have checked behind (though that's not to say betting the river was wrong).

I'm having a hard time answering either question...

If I was faced with this dilemma in an actual game, I'd probably call, although against a rock, nonscare card, and A falling, it's hard to think we're good 1 in 10.

Vagrant, I think you might be being results oriented here. If Villain had not check-raised Hero and had simply called Hero's river bet, I don't think you would have advocated checking behind.
